20 sharpenings’ principle

Aiguisa-Tech leads the way in ensuring the consistent application of the ‘‘20 sharpenings’ principle’’ with its clientele. According to our plant study, the same industrial carbide saw blade can be sharpened between 15 and 24 times for optimal performance and productivity.

Such number of sharpenings shall include the cutting time required for each sharpening operation, since there is a cutting time loss due to the blade tooth front/rear clearance. The size of such blade tooth is considerably small, hence it wears out faster.

For instance, let’s say you use a relatively-new blade to perform 15-hour cutting operations. When sharpened by AIGUISATEK, such blade will then operate for 14.25 hours. AIGUISATEK’s goal is to remove very little carbide in order to prolong your tool’s service life. In other words, you have to consider the cutting time period along with the sharpening fee.
